Review

While this is a great cookbook, Kim Barnouin’s Skinny Bitch: Ultimate Everyday Cookbook is also a great primer on how to eat a “greener” diet, how to stock your pantry, and how to strategically grocery shop to get the healthiest food available.  The first 70 pages are so educational, it could have made a small book by itself!

As for the recipes, they are very tasty and not at all difficult to prepare and you will find the ingredients in your local grocery store. Besides the educational primer at the beginning of the book, the author sprinkles each page with cooking tips and advice on healthy living.  The photos are great so you can see what your finished product would (or should!) look like!

Be prepared, though, this is a Vegan cookbook so you won’t find any meat or dairy recipes here.  And while this is a great cookbook, Kim’s “saucy” style might not be for everyone.
