Review

This is definitely not a casual read, nor is it meant to be.  It is often a textbook for those in college for early childhood related fields or continuing education for professionals.  With that said I would like to point out that it is an excellent book on the topic of early childhood health, safety, and nutrition that would be of benefit to parents and those who work with children in any capacity, including daycare and churches.

The topics are explored enough to allow understanding and comprehension, and the case studies and examples connect the concepts presented. The topics in this book range from nutrition to mental health to poverty and everywhere in between. The amount of information included in the text is impressive.

Personally, this wasn’t required reading for me.  I have a 2 year old daughter and it was a blessing to find a book that would actually get me to realize what I needed to do to assist myself and daughter to do to get a healthier lifestyle.  A must read for all busy parents who want the best for their young child.
